Anne Hathaway's Cottage was built prior to the 15th century and was originally known as Hewlands Farm. Later on it became the family home of Shakespeare's bride-to-be.

The house is located in Shottery a hamlet within the parish of Stratford-upon-Avon. It is just over one mile walk from the town centre & can be easily accessed via a well sign-posted footpath.
